She is an active member of the faculty as the co-sponsor for the Class of 2024, the Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy, One-Act Play, and as the region's Literary Coordinator and one of Furlow’s Literary competition coaches.  Prior to her current role she served in a number of leadership roles as the Chair of the High School department, Team Leader of the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support) team, and a member of the Academics and Curriculum Committee. Mrs. Walker was honored to be named Furlow Charter School’s 2021 Teacher of the Year.

They greatly enjoy living and working in Sumter county and enjoy participating in local events and activities.
Mrs. Walker stated, “I am so excited to take on this new role of Assistant Principal at FCS. We have the best faculty and staff- they do such an amazing job supporting and furthering our mission and charter goals- and I want to be their cheerleader and support them in doing what they do best- teaching. As a parent, and now administrator, it is paramount to me that we strive for a school that is safe for all of our children- a safe place to learn, grow, and develop into citizens that contribute to the good of the world. My hope is that this new role allows me to be a central part of making Furlow even better as we continue to grow and develop as a public school option in Sumter County!”
